Constitutional Law

Constitutional, Administrative and Public Law Doctrine

Constitutional law is a body of law which defines the role, powers and structure of different entities within a state, namely the executive, the parliament or legislature and the judiciary, together with the basic rights of citizens and their relationship with their governments. The cited article adds that in federal countries such as the United States and Canada it also covers the relationship between the central government and state, provincial or territorial governments. It deals with the fundamental principles by which government exercises its authority, sometimes granting powers such as taxing and spending and sometimes limiting them, for example by prohibiting arrest without sufficient cause. Doctrines grouped under this entry concern the structure and limits of public power.

Entity-backed identity for the doctrine category value this doctrine already carries as an enum fact, resolved to a doctrine entity by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The enum fact itself stays on the entity unchanged.
