Vincenzo Manzini was an Italian jurist who taught criminal law and criminal procedure at universities including Ferrara, Sassari, Siena, Naples, Turin, Pavia, Padua and Rome over a long academic career beginning in the late nineteenth century. His multi-volume treatises, the Trattato di diritto penale italiano and the Trattato di diritto processuale penale italiano, became standard reference works in Italian criminal law, running through multiple editions. Manzini assisted Minister of Justice Alfredo Rocco in preparing Italy's 1930 penal code and code of criminal procedure, the Rocco Code, which remained the basis of Italian criminal procedure for decades. He also co-directed the Annali di diritto e procedura penale, a leading Italian journal in the field.
